The Walk ‘N Talk will be a serial tour of tourist attractions along U Street in Shaw. Participants will meet in the plaza at the African American Civil War Memorial at 1:00 pm. The October Guild membership meeting is at 5:30 at the Lincoln Cottage, which is about two miles northeast. You can go to the meeting from Shaw by car or bus.

You need to register by Friday, September 29, to participate. Once I know the number of participants, I will plan the route and assign you a site. You will have 5 to 10 minutes to share information and stories about your site. After your commentary, there will be an informal evaluation of your presentation. Usually, participants are a mix of new and experienced guides.

It is a fun activity and you are sure to learn something new about U Street.
