Please join us on the morning of Tuesday, January 8, 2019 for the start of the Guild's Big Day: the Annual Business Meeting, Awards Ceremony, and Education Seminar! The Used Book Sale will take place during Registration/Networking and before the beginning of the Education Seminar.
Please Note: The Reagan Building and International Trade Center Management are providing a complimentary breakfast and food court lunch vouchers for the 145 who register for the Annual Meeting. There is a participant limit in our contract; therefore the breakfast and lunch vouchers will be available to the 145 who register to attend the Annual Business Meeting. Registration is required - no exceptions and no walk-ups.
The Annual Meeting plans include:
Highlights of 2018 and Plans for 2019: The Board Officers and Committees will discuss the Guild's accomplishments in 2018 and explain plans for the Guild in 2019.
Celebrate Your Colleagues' Achievements: The Awards Committee will announce the winners of: (1) the Jill Blakeman Award (awarded to the Guild Guide whose work best exemplifies the spirit of the Guild, and who has made an original and significant contribution to the Guild); (2) Tourism Industry Contribution Award (awarded to a person or organization who has provided valuable and distinguished service to the Guild, guiding profession, or tourism in the DC area); (3) the Motor Coach Operator Award (awarded to a motor coach operator who has best contributed to the team spirit of guiding); and (4) the Ginny Moser Award (awarded to a new Guild Guide who accumulated the highest number of participation points (continuing education units) during the first 12 months of Guild membership).
