OCTOBER Business Meeting Highlights
Meeting speakers: the Spy Museum staff with a venue overview; ITMI presentation by Ted Bravos, Founder and CEO of ITMI; Jim Jones, Senior Warden, St. Paul’s Rock Creek Parish with a presentation on the Rock Creek Cemetery; and Guild 1st VP Corky Rainey with an update on the strategic plan.
N.B. Attendees who do not register for the meeting in advance WILL NOT earn CEU credits.
The museum does not open to the public until 10:00 a.m. so look for the group entrance and museum staff to direct you to the theater for check-in.
Please note that refreshments will not be provided at this meeting but some food court restaurants are open for breakfast (see "Getting to the Museum" below for directions on walking through the L'Enfant food court). Food & Drink are NOT permitted in the Spy Museum theater.
Visiting the Museum
The museum can accommodate the first 60 registrants for complimentary tours of the museum. People who register for the meeting will be contacted, in the order they registered, to ask if they are able to stay for a tour. Please reply promptly when you are contacted.
Getting To The Museum
The museum is located at 700 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC 20024. The use of public transportation is recommended. The nearest metro stop to the museum is L'Enfant Plaza on the blue/orange/silver & green/yellow lines. Access to the Spy Museum is through the L'Enfant Plaza Mall where restaurants will be open for breakfast. Exit the station by following the signs to L’Enfant Plaza and proceed to the L’Enfant Plaza Mall Concourse, take the L'Enfant Plaza Exit up the escalator to enter the L’Enfant Plaza food court. Note: you will see Starbucks on your right as you reach the top of the escalator. Enter the glass doors straight ahead to access the food court At the first hallway, when you reach Roti Mediterranean Grill, turn right. Continue straight until you reach the Jamba Juice stand. You will see a large flight of stairs in front of you. Take the stairs up to the ground level and exit through the glass doors to your left once you reach the top. If an elevator is preferred, one is located in front of the Jamba Juice. Take it to the Plaza level. The Museum will be directly behind you when you exit from the elevator vestibule.
Please note the only ADA Accessible exit from L'Enfant Plaza is the 7th street exit. If you take this exit you can pick up the free Southwest Shuttle at its 7th street stop. The PINK shuttle bus picks up near the L'Enfant Metro exit at 7th St & Maryland Ave SW and runs every 10 minutes starting at 6:30 a.m. The Shuttle also stops on Independence Ave, behind the Hirshorn Gallery, before turning onto L'Enfant Plaza. More information about the shuttle, including "next bus" arrival times, is available on The Wharf website.

Metered parking is available, beginning at 9:30 a.m., on Independence Avenue starting at 14th St and continuing in the direction of the U.S. Capitol, on 12th St and on L'Enfant Plaza.
