Getting to Decatur House - BE SURE TO USE THE ENTRANCE AT 1610 H ST, NW. It leads directly to The Carriage House.

N.B. Attendees who do not register for the meeting in advance WILL NOT earn CEU credits.

Decatur House is located on the northwest corner of Lafayette Square at 1610 H St, NW. The use of public transportation is recommended. The nearest metro stops to Decatur House are Farragut West on the blue/orange/silver lines and Farragut North on the red line. From Farragut West, exit following the signs to 17th and I and walk east to turn right on Connecticut Ave. From Farragut North, exit following the signs to K St, cross K and walk the diagonal path across Farragut Square. From either station, continue on Connecticut Ave to Decatur House on the corner of H and Jackson Place. For bus route information please visit

Metered parking is available on neighborhood streets beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Refreshments will not be provided but members may bring their own. However, the White House Historical Association requests that members take their trash with them and dispose of it somewhere off-venue.

Attendees will receive a History Shop 10% discount card at the registration table when they check in. The card doesn’t expire so it can be used when convenient. For early arrivers, The History Shop opens at 9:00 a.m.
