FREE EVENT: Ford's Theatre After the Assassination

After President Lincoln was assassinated at Ford’s Theatre in April 1865, an angry public threatened to burn it to the ground. Yet it stands more than 150 years later. David McKenzie, Director for Interpretive Resources at Ford’s, will explore with us what happened to the building after the assassination, who occupied it and how it became a working theater again.
